The Main Characters of Violet Stars
The main characters of Violet Stars are Evangeline, Lyle and Fable.
Lady Evangeline Havenspry is the youngest of two sisters and finds herself struggling to marry after rejecting several suitors. She is passionate, especially about painting and piano playing, but to most she is a courteous and refined young lady.
Fable is a young woman who lives alone in a little cottage. She spends her days selling clay figurines at markets and loves tending to plants. She has many flowers and plants both inside and outside of her cottage, and understands their every need, even if the plants are just jealous they aren’t admired as much as other plants.
General Lyle Vallen is the general of the Witch-Hunters. He was granted the position by the king, and was raised into nobility by the act. Despite struggling with all the rules and etiquette that comes with his new position, he is a very practical and straightforward man who does what he believes is right.
Side Characters
There are many side characters in the book, but the main two are Evangeline’s mother and sister.
Duchess Marlo Havenspry is Evangeline’s older sister. She inherited the title of Duchess of Varity from her father when he passed away. While Marlo and Evangeline aren’t as close as they used to be, Marlo still checks in on her sister and wants her to be happy.
Lady Evelyn is Evangeline’s mother. She is always worrying about Evangeline, knowing that she needs to secure her future through a good marriage. She loves keeping up with the latest fashion trends, and has taken a fancy to collecting different painted silk hand fans.
