The Mandalorian and Grogu is the newest Star War film. It stars Pedro Pascal as the titular Mandalorian alongside the cutest alien in the franchise, Grogu.
As always, these are my own opinions. I am not sponsored or affiliated with Star Wars or Disney and I pent my own money to watch this movie at the cinema.
Plot of The Mandalorian and Grogu
The plot of the movie was definitely worth being a movie. It didn’t feel like there were nonsensical complications just so that it would fill a movie time length. However the plot was given away in the trailer and if anyone remembers the trailer, they will realise who the antagonists are right away, even if the Mandalorian doesn’t realise it yet.
Pacing
The pacing of the Mandalorian and Grogu is quite slow to start but it settles down to a decent pace. It is much like an episode of the show, except it has been dragged out into a movie. Sometimes it made me wonder why this wasn’t a little shorter.
Action
The action and fighting in the Mandalorian was very fun. Grogu used the force a reasonable amount of times considering his training and the the stunt and body double for The Mandalorian were amazing as ever, especially during the action scenes.
Zeb
For the most part, I wondered why Zeb was in this movie. I know he appeared in an episode of he Mandalorian, but I’m not sure why he was included. It could have been any character. But, despite my dislike of Rebels, having Zeb in the movie was still fun and it didn’t detract from it.
Overall Opinions on The Mandalorian and Grogu
As someone who’s love for Star Wars has waned over the years, I went into this film expecting something like the TV show and I got exactly what I expected. The action and fun largely makes up for the pacing issues, and I just love Grogu so I had a fun time.
