Hi everyone! It’s the end of 2024, and like last year, I’m here to look back on my goals and set some for the new year.
My 2024 Goals
Goal One
Posting once a month was something I tried to do. Not including this post, I have posted 16 post this year. That is at least once a month. However, I did not quite post every month as I didn’t share a blog post at all in February or October. I have posted less posts than last year, 3 less (or 2 including this one), but strangely, I also didn’t post anything during October in 2023.
This was a goal that I set to encourage myself to post more consistently and I feel like I have, and that I can post more regularly even though I haven’t had as many blog posts.
Goal Two
I did not succeed at writing a draft of a new novel. I have several drafts of different stories in various stages, and my most complete is about a third of the way through and is currently 36.k words long.
Goal Three
Another goal I didn’t succeed at. I do not have a physical copy of my book on the shelf, nor any links to hare. But! But, in less than three months, my book will be available to buy and I will have a physical copy of it on my bookshelf soon!! If you want to find out more about my book and when I’m publishing it, click here.
2025 Goals
To stay consistent with my last goals, here are my three goals for 2025!
One
Complete a draft of a new novel.
Carrying over from last year, I hope to finish the draft of my next novel. When I complete it, I hope to share a bit more about it here, but first I need to focus on finishing it.
Two
Read at least 20 books.
I want to read at least 20 books this year, and I want to aim to read more indie and self-published authors. Hopefully, by this time next year, I can post about all the books I have read.
Three
Post a free short story on my blog.
Last year, I had the idea of posting one of my short stories on my blog for people to read for free. For various reasons, this got put off, mostly due to me not liking how I had expanded my original idea for it and the fact that it needed a lot of editing. So, in 2025, I would like to revise that short story and share it here for everyone to read for free.
Thank you for reading and staying with me until the end of 2024. Hopefully you’ll stick with me through 2025. If this is somehow the first post of mine you’ve read, find out more about me here, or check out my favourite review of the year here.
If you’re not following me already, here are the links to my Instagram and Tumblr.
And finally, I hope you are all well and have a good year. Happy New Year!
